At Split My Bill, we care about your privacy. Split My Bill is designed to run completely in your browser, with no server-side storage or user tracking.

Split My Bill is operated by ZikkLabs, a sole proprietorship based in Kerala, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to ZikkLabs.

2. Data Collection

We collect no personal data. All operations (calculations, inputs, GST handling) occur locally in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.

3. Short Link Sharing

When using the share option via short links, we use Short.io to generate shortened URLs at bills.splitmybill.in. These links contain encoded data from your session and are processed client-side.

Anyone with the link can access the shared bill. However, we do not track link clicks or retain bill content.

4. Analytics Tools

We use limited analytics to understand overall site traffic and improve our services without compromising individual user privacy.

• Cloudflare Web Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics from Cloudflare that do not collect personal identifiers, IP addresses, or cookies. No data leaves your browser beyond anonymous aggregate metrics. Learn more.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We may also use GA4 on other parts of our website (not Split My Bill itself). GA4 anonymizes IPs and tracks usage trends. However, Split My Bill page itself does not load Google Analytics scripts. Google Privacy Policy

These analytics tools help us improve usability, not track individuals. You can use browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger to opt out if desired.

5. Offline Access (PWA)

The tool can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and used fully offline. Your data remains only on your device and is never synced or stored remotely.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Split My Bill uses no cookies, no localStorage, and no third-party trackers. We do not track you across sessions or devices.

7. External Services

The only external service involved is Short.io for link shortening. We do not use third-party SDKs, ads, logins, or social sharing integrations.

8. User Control

You can reset all bill data anytime by clicking the Start New Split button. Your session is fully disposable and private.

9. Children's Privacy

Split My Bill is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from children. It complies with COPPA and international children's privacy standards.
